How to maintain chart of accounts?

Start software from the desktop shortcut by double click.
 And open your existing company. Then go to maintain window from top left side of display page and click on ‘Chart of Accounts’


The next window will appear on screen is:




To add accounts in software first we will click on ‘Account ID’ and enter the account ID according to your books. Keep this thing in your mind that the ID you will be giving to accounts must be arranged as per their nature. For Example in the below window we write Account ID: 105.

Then press ‘Tab’ & the curser will move to below blank which is for Account Description: in the above window it is ‘Cash in bank’ and after giving description we will again press ‘Tab’.

Now we will give Account type to the ID according to the nature of account. And presses save. By this procedure we can add all our accounts in this software.


How to delete the record ID?If we want to delete any of account then go to that account by click on magnifying glass sign or by entering the ID and the account will open. Now click on the account.



Then click the ‘Delete’ from top left of Tab &then click ‘Yes’  & account will be deleted.



How to change the ID of given account?Go to the account by magnifying glass sign or by entering the account ID. And click on ‘Change ID’



Next the following Tab will appear .Enter the new ID in given blank and press ‘OK’

The new ID will be assigned.


Go to the Maintain menu, then select Chart of Accounts. Maintain Chart of Accounts window will display.




Select the account from list which you want to inactive. Select the Inactive box and click in it.a tick mark will appear in box when account is inactivated.
